Beautiful morning as we entered the port for Cagliari today.

Toured the underground pieces of Cabgliari including an excavated ancient Roman City, a natural cave that has been used as a church and also bomb shelter during WWII as well as another set of tunnels that were used in WWII as bomb shelters for the people of the city.
The Roman City pictures:

Pictures of the limestone tunnels used as bombing shelter. These were beneath a local school.

As part of our tour we walked around the city some between underground stops including a stop for a snack and drinks.

Back on board for some lunch. Lunch today was at The Pizza Place. Selected pies were Pepperoni and Pretty Fly for a White Pie.
Followed by a stop at Lick Me Till Ice Cream where Julie tried the green machine - kiwi, avacado, and green apple ice cream. I, however, opted for the Key Lime Pie instead.

While waiting for something to open today, spent a few minutes in the retro arcade. Lots of old school favorites here. Yes, all are in free play mode so no quarters necessary!

Left some beautiful sights behind as we departed today, but had some surprise escorts see us out. There were at least four dolphins playing near the ship as we got under way.

To cap off a great day, dinner tonight was Extra Virgin. Extra Virgin is one of our favorite places to eat on Virgin ships. Selections included the braised mini meatballs, burrata cheese, cacio e pepe, corn tortellini, new york strips, and for dessert, chocolate olive oil cake and ricotta bombolini.
