Day 5 - Cagliari, Sardinia / Dinner at Extra Virgin

Dinner tonight was Extra Virgin.  Selections included the braised mini meatballs, burrata cheese, cacio e pepe, corn tortellini, new york strips, and for dessert, chocolate olive oil cake and ricotta bombolini.

Day 5 - Cagliari, Sardinia / Lunch

Lunch today was at The Pizza Place.  Selected pies were Pepperoni and Pretty Fly for a White Pie.

Followed by a stop at Lick Me Till Ice Cream where Julie tried the green machine - kiwi, avacado, and green apple ice cream. I, however, opted for the Key Lime Pie instead.

Toured the underground pieces of Cabgliari including an excavated ancient Roman City, a natural cave that has been used as a church and also bomb shelter during WWII as well as another set of tunnels that were used in WWII as bomb shelters for the people of the city.

Day 4 - At Sea / Dinner at the Test Kitchen

The Test Kitchen is the most unique restaurant on the ship. it's an "experimental" style with a set menu of 5 courses (used to be 6 courses) and each has a unique flare.

Julie's options were - Gazpacho, Egg Yolk/Caviar (with no egg yolk), Asparagus and Hazelnut, Beef Tenderloin, and Chocolate dessert

Dennis's menu was - Mushroom, Egg Yolk/Caviar, Scallops & Ham, Venison Tenderloin, and Chocolate dessert

Day 4 - At Sea / Lunch

Lunch was at the Galley today.  Nothing fancy, a nice salad for Julie and a pastrami on rye for dennis followed by an alaskan roll and of course, dessert.

Desserts were a pistachio macaron, a peach tart, a tropical cheesecake, and a chocolate-cherry cake.

Not much happening today, it was a lazy day letting our feet recover from the nearly 38,000 steps over the last two days in Rome!  A quick picture from our balcony this morning.
